What are the parts of a door handle called?
The key parts of a door handle are the handle itself, the escutcheon (or face plate) and key cylinder on the outer face, and the latch, deadbolt, and mortise plate on the side of the door.

Should I buy individual doorknobs or a set?
Most doorknobs are sold in pairs, with one designed for the exterior door face and one for the interior. Matching doorknob sets on multiple doors creates a complementary style.

What is a door handle set?
A door handle set includes interior and exterior handles, plus a deadbolt or lock that can be built into the set, or in other designs, installed separately.

How do I get matching keys for my locks?
Many deadbolts and locking knobs or handles will include two keys. If you require more keys, you can get them cut as needed.
