Well designed, well made, affordable saw.

I needed a portable tool for a very small shop to function like a large deep bandsaw. The unique design of the Bladerunner (thin back support) allows to do it. The saw is strong and stable. The only difference with the band saw is the backstroke of the jigsaw, which requires a proper adjustment of the top holder.

A: This is not designed to cut 2x4's. The Worx Bladerunner has a stroke length of 3/4”. The Bladerunner cuts a variety of materials depending on the type of blade you’re using. Pick the blade that best suits the job, from scroll cutting, to rip cuts, the Bladerunner’s cutting capacity will vary depending on the material: Wood: 1-1/2”, PVC pipe: 1-1/4”, Aluminum: 3/8”, Steel: 1/8”, and Ceramic: 3/8”. -Portia M.

A: Hello There! Thank you for your question. The blade runner uses Jigsaw blades, and these blades will not be strong enough to cut through any stone materials. However, would suggest looking into our circular saws, these types of saws can use Diamond/ Tile cutting blades to cut stone! Thank you for choosing Worx!

A: max cut says 4"s.........a 4x4 is 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 it should cut it just go slow and don't jam the saw

Q: Would this saw be able to cut a 2x4 in half. Not length wise, just a 6 foot 2x4 into 2 3 foot pieces.

Q: If I put a high quality metal blade on this, does the metal cutting capacity increase? I don't understand why it's only 1/8" for steel.

A: Hello Dave, Thank you for your question. Changing the blade to a stronger one will help cut steel more smoothly, but will not change the cutting capacity. The cutting capacity is determined by the amount of power the tool gives out, and with this particular tool it is only able to handle up to 1/8" for steel. Thank you for choosing WORX!
