Not bad for a beach shelter.

Haven’t used it yet, but did a test run to set it up in the yard. Not a quick set up, but once up, it looks pretty good. Lots of head room, up to 6ft. And packs down really small. I just wish it had a floor to it. Will be using it at the beach soon, so let’s see how it stands up.

This shelter is better than being in the rain or full sun but it isn't complete shade and water mists inside from hitting the mesh. Given this bit of expectation management, it's decent value on sale.
My main issue is that the shelter seems like an after thought made by taking components away from some other product. The materials and build look good for the price but everything else feels cheap.
-The instructions reference parts that aren't and are not supposed to be included (door?).
-The bag is at least 2x too big.
-The pole and stake pouches seem like they were made to hold more.
-Although they appear in the image, the instructions don't mention the extra lines and anchor points

Not actually sun or rain proof

This shelter is supposed to provide sun and rain protection, but unfortunately it does neither. The quality of the material seems pretty good, but there is a major design flaw, which is the large amount of mosquito netting around all sides. Rain goes right through this netting, and it's unclear if the netting provides any UV protection. One of the photos of this shelter on the Canadian Tire website shows the walls all having solid panels (can't see any netting), which lead me to believe there must be some kind of flap or door that can be put in place to cover up the netting. I have just received the shelter and set it up for the first time and can confirm there is no way to close or cover up the netting.
No, I do not recommend this product.
