Bracket screws easily strip metal

a year ago

Purchased two of these curtain rods. The set screws to tighten the upper portion of the bracket as well as the screw to hold the rod in place easily with hand force strip the metal so the screws no longer tighten and barely remain threaded. Bad product that I would expect to find at Dollarama or now I guess C Tire.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This curtain rod in brown/black is perfect for my bedroom. The finials have an interesting profile that are not too large. My curtains glide so smoothly now.

Q: How much weight can be hung on the rod once installed?

A: I don't know what the max wt would be but the wider the window the less weight over all because of the lack of support. On a 3-4 ft window regular drapes will be fine. It's pretty sturdy. Just make sure the supports are well secured in the wall.
