First time using. I felt it went on easily. Depending on the wood, may only need 1 coat. I found the darker spots and drips on the first coat blended well with the second coat.

Colour not like the sample!

We have always used Thompsons waterseal and have been satisfied with the results. However, this time we chose the Semi-transparent in Chestnut brown according to the photos shown on the website. The colour is not brown, it is red, like a dark mahogany. I know when applying the colour looks different than it will when dry, so didnt think too much of it. But when dry it is very red. Not at all like the sample colour , not even close. Very disappointed and nothing we can do about it now but to live with this colour.
