Great, colorful pens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Paper, mate, ink, joy, gel, pens, and the tropical vacation colors add fun and personality to your writing, journaling, notes, or projects. The colors are amazingly bright and very cheerful. The pins are very smooth and the ink dries quickly, which keeps it from smudging. These are a medium point pen so they don’t give off fine lines.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The yellow wasn’t a good choice in pen color, but the others are bright and vivid. Great gel pens, once you got to writing with them a bit. I almost thought the purple one died, But it I just needed to scribble to get the ink flowing more.

Q: Your gel pens may dry faster, but do they fade away like our gel pens that should never be used on documents that need to stay around? We have a tool log at work that has blank pages where a gel pen was used. And not an off brand.

A: My InkJoy gel 0.7 pens have not faded noticeably on anything yet but I am just now realizing that they do not have archival ink so I would not personally use them on any documents that you want to save or in books like notes in your bible. In my experience with gel pens of any kind over the years, they usually begin to bleed out to the surrounding paper (after months or years) eventually being difficult to read with color out around the writing. I have over 30 colors of these pens and wish I would have realized they were not archival ink. They are nice to write with though.

A: This has happened to me with MANY of the pens in my set of over 30 colors. These pens are great but they are picky on how you store and use them. They do not like laying down where the ink can get bubbles over time and carrying them around in your purse or bag can cause issues as well. The best way I've found is to store them upright - a slight angle is best (like in a pen cup), always keep them clicked shut, and if you do get an air bubble you can very lightly make large circles on a scrap piece of paper until the flow begins again (don't push hard). You can also hold it at an angle with the tip down and gently tap repeatedly against your hand like it is a ketchup bottle to move the air bubble out.
