Disappointed

I was disapointed that this smart tv is not overly smart. I wanted to connect with nextv from access, but i cant because the tv cant get the nextv app. I was told it had all the apps. Other than that it is a good tv.

NOT LED as is posted on the ad!

We were excited to get this tv at a half decent price (about $100 less than others we've seen). Our disappointment came after we got home (an hour away from Canadian Tire's store) and set it up. The ad on here clearly states LED but it is not and it doesn't say it is anywhere on the box or in the enclosed paperwork. Otherwise it seems to work good but we were really counting on it being an LED tv

Got this TV at an indoor blowout price and can’t say anything bad about it. The picture is fine, the sound is fine, apps are fine. I’ve been using it for about a month now and no problems. I’d recommend.

Not a Smart TV

Just got it home and was extremely disappointed to discover that it cannot download any apps. Only plays Netflix and Prime. Just ridiculous! Can't watch Crave, Disney+, Hayu, FX, Global, CBC, A&E..etc. Cannot even watch my Shaw TV app...which means I would need to purchase another satellite box. Completely defeats the purpose of a 'Smart TV'! Will be bringing back this piece of garbage as soon as the lockdown is over, as Canadian Tire is not accepting returns or assisting with customer service right now. So I'm stuck with it for a month I guess... SO MAD!

Please note that VIDAA is a proprietary system and like other systems (Android, Roku, etc.) it requires application legal licensing to work with the TV. And it is up to the app developers who they want to license to. Not all operating systems will have access to all applications - the same reason some apps will work with Roku that will not work with Android. As a proprietary system, it does get slightly less access to some of the bigger apps than the competition but we are always working to improve the app selection. VIDAA 4 will launch this year to all new TVs and it will include great access to apps like DAZN, Deezer, TUBI and many more. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Low cost Tv 40" Sharp

This is my second generation Sharp tv, my old Sharp was fried after 15 years.
This one is 10 time less cost than the old one. Image quality is good, no internet but Wifi / Youtube are ok, no full user manual anywhere.
During this lockdown, I try to support local if they let me. This time I make a good deal on the phone with Canadiantire @Dixie / Dundas, Mississauga.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A: You can connect the LC-40N5004U to the Internet in one of two ways: via a solid WiFi connection (we recommend having your modem/router no more than 10 feet from your TV -if you do you may require a signal booster due to the design of WiFi Readers in TVs - vs. tablets, phones, and laptops); or via Ethernet port.

A: There are apps available to download through the VIDAA store, like Tiki Live, Netflix, YouTube, etc and many other paid and free options. Please note, Prime Video and Disney + are currently not available on the VIDAA platform.
