Not sturdy.

I bought this bookcase August 2022. Since day one this thing has not been very sturdy. There isn’t enough support to hold the two pieces together. I will not be buying this again. Over the years I have put together over 5 bookcases. This is the first one to fall apart on me.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this product to house some vintage soft sculpture dolls. I am very pleased that it will not be having anything really heavy such as books because I am worried about its sturdiness. It is built in two sections according to manufactures instructions. The top and bottom portions need more than one screw to connect them together securely. It is very flimsy and I was afraid it could come apart when standing up.
In order to prevent this from coming apart, I bought two braces that connected the top and bottom part together. They were attached them to the back of the book case. It gave it some extra strength. As it stands currently, one places the top onto the middle shelf/bottom part with two specialized attachments on either side to middle piece and then it is secured with one screw on each side. I feel it is this secure enough especially with the specific weight limitations it suggests a capacity of such around 20 to 30 pounds per shelf.
The directions are easy to follow which is why it has only has two starts instead of one. The manufacturer's instructions are always and easy to understand which is why I have bought other items from them in the past. The directions are that clear.
I would personally go back to the old model where all one had to do was assemble two 72 inch pieces of board, attach them in the middle shelf and the case was ready. I have older models from them and they are better designed and much more sturdier. I would not buy this bookshelf again.

Q: Are fully adjustable or are they just adjustable some what are there holes all the way up the sides thanks

A: The shelves are fully adjustable. On the other hand, I would suggest you don't waste your time/money on this. This is in my garage right now, literally in pieces, the back is made out of cardboard! This make the shelf VERY un sturdy. It literally went sideways and crushed into pieces. Thankfully my baby wasn't nearby because we had it set up in a playroom. I would not recommend this product. The material is VERY cheap.

A: No it is thick cardboard with same wood pattern that you nail to the frame. I use four of these in my pantry and they work great for price. But would be sturdy enough for books.

A: The adjustable shelves on the bookcase have a maximum weight limit of 25 pounds, the fixed shelf 30 pounds and the bottom shelf 40 pounds.
