The controls are very simple and easy to understand. You can use the "snooze" button to cycle through three brightness settings very easily, which is great. Bright for the day, dim at night. My only minor complaint is that the sound quality is poor, meaning the reception is excellent but the speaker sounds very cheap. On the other hand, I didn't buy it to replace my stereo, so all is good.

Q: Someone heeelp! When I use the Radio Alarm, the volume gets louder and louder until you click it off. Whyyyy? I don't want to race to the clock upon waking. Any way to keep the volume level normal for alarm use?!

A: The gradual awake feature is intended to initiate the alarm softly and gradually increase the volume to ensure the user responds to the alarm. The audio ramp up feature is programmed into the clock radio and can’t be changed by the user.
