    All dead

I bought 6 bulbs worth and none of them came up. Directions were followed to the letter and they all rotted. No other bulbs/perennials in the same space failed like this. I designed the surrounding garden around these things as the centerpiece so I'm tempted to try again this year but NOT follow the product's directions: other planting guides suggest planting 5-6" deep but NOT covering the crown, so like a conical hole. Buyers beware

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Did not sprout

The ones I purchased didn’t sprout. I planted them alongside some dahlia tubers and red hot pokers that I also purchased this year, and they all came up fine.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Are these perennial in Ottawa, ON.?

    3 Answers
    • A: They are typically winter hardy down to zone 5, so you should be ok in Ottawa. If you are planting near a structure that protects from wind, you will increase the success to overwinter them without digging up.
