Q: Can this be used in the fridge?

A: I dont think so. It has an almost flowery scent. It evaporates over time. I don’t think it’s food safe. Best stick to a good clean and baking soda for the fridge. This works wonderfully in basements, closets and areas without a lot of air flow.

Q: I inherited a steamer trunk that reeks of moth balls. Will this product get rid of this smell?

A: Yes and No! While it will absorb the odor while it is active the smell may return when it gets humid. If your trunk is wooden then the wood has absorbed the mothball smell. A change in humidity can release the odors again. I bought it to get rid of the smell from a wardrobe i inherited. It worked for awhile but you will need to keep changing them.
