Fit great, strong rigid protection. Rock hard under elbow so when you fall and elbow hits the ice it is well protected. My last pair from another store not as rigid under elbow and impact hurt elbow.

I'm an "old timer" player, which means my competitive hockey playing days are far behind me. Although I still give it my all, my all isn't what it once was, and I play for the enjoyment and health benefits it provides. Heck, an hour playing hockey is way more fun than an hour on the elliptical machine; know what I mean, Vern?
Anyway, I bought these elbow pads and am very pleased with the result. They're pretty lightweight, and more importantly, they protect your elbows well when falling. (which is going to happen whether you want it to or not.) I stress the importance of trying them on before you purchase them as it's very important that you get a set that fits your arms well. They should be snug, but not tight.
I am shocked at the price premium quality hockey equipment is going for, and I offer that 99% of us don't need the top of the line premium pads available at boutique hockey equipment stores. It will not have any impact on my game.
If you want a good set of elbow pads that offer very good protection, combined with fairly lightweight at a reasonable price; these are it. Sometimes, it's important to accept that you are not Connor McDavid or Austin Matthews, and you don't need the top-of-the-line elbow pads or skates.
I recommend them.
