Q: Can I use Spot Shot on a Wool Area carpet to remove red wine stain? Is it ok to use on wool carpet?
5 years agoA: Spot Shot works on most carpet types. However, you should always test for colourfastness (as with any chemical you might use on a carpet). Some wool carpets or rugs are not colourfast, and special attention must be paid to this type of carpet. If the carpet in your home was already in the home when you purchased it and you don’t have a sample piece then it is best to test for colorfastness in an unseen area of the carpet such inside a closet or in a corner. By testing in an unseen area if the carpet dye does bleed it will probably go unnoticed. After you find the right spot to test colourfastness, apply a small amount to the carpet in your hidden area. Wait a few seconds and grab a clean white cloth or paper towel and apply some pressure to the area for about 10 seconds. If the cloth comes out clean without any dye on it, you are ready to apply to the area of your stain.

Q: Can this prodct be used on microfibre couches? Anything other than carpets (couches, curtains, etc).
11 years agoA: Our Spot Shot Carpet Stain & Odour Eliminator product is recommended specifically for carpet usage. However, for use as a general cleaner on other fabrics, Shot Shot could be tested for colourfastness by applying on a hidden area of the micro-fibre couch. Allow test area to dry completely (at least 12 hours) and observe any colour change. If colour is affected, do not use.

Q: Does it remove old and tough stains also? I live in a condo and there were stains before I moved in so do not know what are those stains. They are grey in colour I have almost tried everything.
12 years agoA: Spot Shot will help remove old and tough stains. The product that would work best is 53-2279 as it is an aerosol and the propellant in the can will drive the product deep into the stain for maximum stain lift.
