Waste of money even with the clearance price

I bought this product 4 months ago . Worked good for the first month and then stopped connecting to the wifi even with a 4/5 bar signal. There is a reason this item is discontinued. It should be removed from the store shelves.

Interfered with garage door openers in vehicles

Setup was easy enough, however the system interfered with the Homelink system in both of our vehicles. While the Skylink was plugged in, the Homelink openers range in our vehicles was diminished to the point they would only work when the vehicles were parked in the garage. Therefore we were forced to use the Skylink system through our mobile phones when we didn’t want to. Also, there were times when the app would show the garage door was opened when it was closed, or vice versa. I returned the product back to Canadian Tire with no issue.

Q: Is the compatible camera as SLOW to connect as the door opener? We have full bars wifi (router in garage!) and it takes almost a minute EVERY TIME to connect with the app, for either opening or closing the door! Would like to have much faster camera view

A: My app takes 20-60 seconds to open 'the garage door' page EVERY time. And today for no apparent reason it was complaining of low battery in the door sensor ( Energizer Alkaline battery less than 2 weeks old!) I changed to another brand new battery and reconnected the sensor but it didn't clear the error message. App needs a better way to reset the sensor ( only the ambiguous 'Add Sensor' option is available). The app also needs a real "exit" function, I have to force stop it every time. I don't know what its doing but it noticeably drains the battery if I leave it running in the background. We really need a new or much-improved app for this! Thanks for your reply here, I will be calling tech support soon...
