Not consistent coffee maker

Very fussy machine. Waste a ton of beans trying to make coffee. They will blame the beans the coffee company blames Breville. You end up wasting money.

Brutal Service

Sent in my machine for a repair (steam wand has zero pressure and pump fizzles out without steaming anything). After paying $300 for a "repair," I received the machine back in the EXACT same condition. After a video call showing the customer service agent the issue, they said it would have to be sent in for repair. I asked how it could be returned to me in this manner when clearly no repair had been done. They have lost my confidence in having the ability to repair my machine. I anticipate this is an attempt to try to gouge me for the cost of another repair. De'Longhi will be receiving my business to replace this machine. I doubt this will show up on the site, so I will post it to other forums, sites selling the machine, and social media.

Great Entry-Level, Reliable Espresso Machine

This is the second time I purchased this same machine after my first one reached the end of its life at 8ish years. Very happy with this machine and should be an excellent choice for anyone looking to be their own at home barista. Easy to use and maintain, huge community of people and lots of content online from youtube and other socials on tips and tricks. I do caution there is a learning curve with the tamping and dosing so if you're not looking to be head deep in the world of coffee/espresso, should explore other less involved machines from Breville. Best practice tip: To limit constant adjustments dosing and wasting coffee, ideally you find a roast you love and stick with it. Each coffee is slightly different and so each time you change it out (even if the new coffee is also the same roast level, say medium roast), you most likely need to recalibrate and for those new to the machine, you will be frustrated.
