Major Improvements to Previous Version

The dirty water tank on the previous version was very difficult to clean after use. The hose was also short and very inflexible. Mine actually cracked. In order to clean the suction hose after each use, you had to hold the nozzle under running water. Just a real pain to clean after each use. The newest version is easy to clean, quiet to operate and the suction hose is longer with a much improved flexibility. The suction hose can now be cleaned after use without having to drag it over to a sink with the addition of a switch on the cleaning nozzle. R & D must have received many complaints and thankfully they were addressed.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I love this for cleaning our sofa. With 2 dogs that nervous pee on occasion this has helped tremendously!
We did have the green one first and i returned that one because it was kinda of small, i had to refill the reservoir a lot; but also the shape of them were difficult to fill.
This one was a lot better. I just don't feel the suction was as strong. Bigger machine should have better suction.
Also the handle constantly drips while you're spraying cleaner so clean top to bottom or put a towel down.

The vacuum itself works great. Just the right size not too heavy and easy to use. My only problem stain cleaner bottle inside the box was punctured and had spilled everywhere.

A: No. It throws water with cleaning chemicals and vacuums it right back. The water can be hot but nothing in the machine will turn it into steam
