    Hy-per Lube Quick heating

It’s been a while I put in the radiator of the car this additive - “ Hy-Per Lube Quick Heat, 473-mL” And don’t notice any difference. But the opposite- the engine coolant on the car is not warming properly; as fast as use to??

After pouring this entire bottle in the radiator, I can't say I notice any considerable difference. I really could not recommend this product. The claims made are not entirely accurate.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Colder engine in winter? I'm concerned that this means your engine will run cooler in the winter as well, which may be bad for your engine if your oil isn't heated enough to burn off blowby gasses/water in your oil. Is it true that the engine will be colder in the winter?

    • A: Not colder. It gets up to high limits faster. From the company's web page. "Hy-Per Lube Quick Heat is formulated specifically to improve the heat transfer of your cooling system allowing your system to warm-up as much as 50% faster. " From what i understand, this product will not allow your engine to run cool. It only brings it to the proper temp quicker. Your thermostat will maintain proper high limits.

Q: What is in it? How does it effect cooling in the summer?

    • A: It helps with transferring heat from your engine to the coolant. So at startup your coolant will warm up faster (in summer and winter), and while running your engine will be cooler. I'm concerned that this means your engine will run cooler in the winter as well, which may be bad for your engine if your oil isn't heated enough to burn off blowby gasses/water in your oil.
