They are visible enough day and night. We use a couple of these ones close to the road, where sometimes people knock the markers down and we lose them. For this reason, we don't want to put expensive markers in this area of the driveway and these ones work just fine.

It could be longer given that it had to go into the ground and that snow banks tend to get higher as winter goes
