Q: There's no mention of lava rock or bbq bricks in the bottom of the bbq. I will purchase these if needed but I'm wondering what happens when the bbq is stored in a vertical position ... do they need to be removed or just let them fall to one side?
3 years agoA: Lava rocks are not required for the operation of this grill. The TQ285 can be folded up as intended and stored vertically. Please do not use lava rocks/ BBQ bricks in the grill.

Q: We have had our TQ285 for years and it work great, but the lid has almost lost all its paint due to extensive use, can this be replaced?
2 years agoA: If you are located in or around Edmonton check with bbq country and if that doesn't work check Napoleon.com, from what I can see parts maybe tough to get especially a lid you may have better luck getting it powder coated.

Q: What size propane tank(s) are acceptable to attach to these smaller BBQ's?
2 years agoA: I have a 20-pound tank attached to my Napoleon BBQ. The BBQ will take anything from the one pound tank on, but I used an adapter hose to go from the BBQ to the 20-pound tank.
