Even @ Full Price Worth It!

Knowing I paid full price at first was a hard pill to swallow but that diminishes quickly when you realize this has all the features such as desulfurization, smart selection upon hooking up a battery, full to trickle upon charger completion. Remember this will only do 12V batteries hence why it's loaded on value for a decent price. Because this is 7Amps you can expect to charge a dead car/tractor battery to full state. 7A is the least value to expect to perform this, anything under 7A should only be expected to maintain a charge on battery that is not drained.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: I am attempting to recover a 1 year old battery that was completely discharged (car was in storage). Normal cycle failed so trying the Power Supply mode to raise the voltage to allow for a regular charging cycle. How do I know it is finished?

2 Answers
  • A: Thank you for the response. It was just so discharged, the regular charging cycle would not work. I used the Power Supply mode for about 6 hours and switched to the 7A charging cycle. It registered at over 25% so then the 7A charging cycle then worked and I got it charged. Saved me buying a new battery.

Q: Can I use this to charge two 230ah batteries connected in series? In theory, it will just take a bit longer to charge?

1 Answer
  • A: I assume your two batteries are 6V connected in series for a 12V bank. If you’re only discharging the batteries a small amount, say 10 or 20%, then a 7A charger may be adequate. However, at a 50% level of discharge, a 7A charger would take 25-30 hours to fully charge the batteries - not very practical. For this capacity of batteries I would point you towards the 15A model (011-1970). It would cut charging time to 10-15 hours.
