Q: What gauge of wiring should be used I presently have 10gauge wiring on a 40 gallon tank and i believe that this wiring could handle a 60 gallon tank easily.Do you agree?
15 years agoA: The 10 gauge wire will handle the 4500 watt element in the 60 gallon tank, as long as the breaker is a 30 amp double pole.
