Performance

This is my third unit. The first two, one of the valves stuck closed and I had to return them. If this one does the same thing it will be the last one I buy!

A one zone - two zone unit

I bought this last summer. One of the valves stopped working after a few weeks of use. When I reinstalled it this spring both valves worked again. Then after a week of using it only one value works again. I do like the ability to program many scheduled watering sessions. However this is essentially a one-zone unit.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Design flaw and poor connectivity

It works well however I spend a lot of the me reconnecting it to Bluetooth. So much that I’ve just gone outside and operated it from the device, itself. It’s pretty sturdy and well built except for the parts where the hoses attach. After connecting a second time, we inadvertently cross threaded both ends because they are made of plastic. Why are they not made of metal like the piece that connects to the tap? We repaired both outlets but for the price, all parts should be metal.

Very disappointed

This timer is super frustrating, it only works via the app but most of the time it won’t connect to the app unless the batteries are removed from the timer and reinstalled. Kind of defeats the purpose when you have to physically attend to the timer every time you want to turn it on. Then when the timer does work, the valve won’t open to allow the water through. It’s counting down time with no water. Very disappointed

A: When I hooked up my Melnor this spring, I decided to check the distance from which it can be programmed. If there is a clear sight line to the unit, the distance is 30 to 40 meters. Obstacles like walls and other buildings will shorten this distance substantially. What this means, is that you cannot turn the unit off and on from another province.
