I bought five of these (on sale). I was able to assemble and arrange them myself in an afternoon. No problems. If you’re going to link a few together, consider having shims on hand for easier leveling.

This shelving unit was extremely easy to set up—the frame clicks into place effortlessly, making assembly fast and frustration-free. The steel frame feels sturdy and well designed, though the shelving itself is lower-quality wood/particle board. That said, once assembled, it does the job well and offers great value for how simple and practical it is.

Q: Are the upright posts 6' long or two 3' pieces that have to be connected? If they are two-piece, how are they held together?

A: top and bottom posts are held together by the shelf frames(4). Assemble side frames on top half first, using the top pin of frames. The bottom pin of the same frame engages with top hole of the bottom half.

A: Depending what is on the shelf it could cause great injury or worse if it topples. Away from wall, in basement, fixed it to ceiling joists with steel strapping.

A: the shelves can be adjusted but I think this is something that is not that easy to perform. This unit would probably be best set up with the shelving at a predetermined height and left there rather than trying to adjust it later.
