Q: What is the function of the blue piece inserted in end of ruler.
3 years agoA: When pulled out, it acts as a nail holder to protect your hand while nailing. It also acts as a drill bit diameter gauge.

Q: Does this marking level and ruler have two adjustable plastic tabs installed that you can move horizontally to transfer measurements? Would this tool also be handy to use to hang larger artwork that requires two picture hooks to hang?
4 years agoA: Yes! It does however keep it safe in a bag or pouch, perhaps in a cardboard tube or ABS pipe caped at each end as the tabs can be easily dislodged.

Q: Is there an advantage to having the vials at or near the end of the ruler vs having one built in vial on each adjustable tab to hang and measure? Mastercraft has no vials built on the inside of adjustable tabs you slide across to transfer measurements.
4 years agoA: The vials are placed at the top of the tool so as not to interfere with the rest of the functions/potential use cases of the tool. Putting the vials in the adjustable tabs would lead to less accuracy of the vials because of the movement of the tabs.
