This pump's installation requires common tools like a screwdriver and hacksaw (check valve sold separately), and the design is straightforward for easy setup.

Absolute Garbage

Purchased a home in 2017 and replaced the sump pump immediately. Pump date was 12/2016. Few years pass and that one fails. No big deal I will replace it with another. This one 07/2021. It is now 10/25 and I am replacing it again. Do not purchase this product if you value reliability and if you want to prevent flooding in your living space. Both suffered the same fate which is impeller failure. I can understand one in 7-10 years but 2 in under a decade is shameful. Garbage product. Do not recommend.

A: I am no professional when it comes to these things. I have 8 foot walls in my basement and it pumps the water out no problem. You just have to make sure it doesn't tip over. Sorry that is all I got.

A: 1/3 horsepower is 246 watts so you should be fine. It wont run it for long however depending on the Amp hor capacity of the internal backup batteries

Q: Good for a 2" Layer of Water? Can this pump suck a 2" layer of water off a subdeck that gets flooded in the spring? Can I attach a long garden hose to the pump so that the water is moved far away from the subdeck? Is there a more suitable pump for what I need?

A: Yes there is- Buy the utility pump that has a specific thread for a garden hose. Product #62-3580-2 or better still Product #62-3575-6 that one pumps down to 1/2" depth I have an old one years old- works perfect

Q: IS THIS GOOD ENOUGH TO EMPTY WATER OUT OF BACK YARD WHEN SNOW THAWS MY YARD IS FULL OF WATER WILL NEED TO SUCK THE WATER OUT OF THERE DOES THIS EMPTY TO THE GROUND REMOVING ALL WATER AND WILL IT BE A GOOD PUMP FOR THIS WILL THIS PUMP LAST

A: no buy a submersible one like this Product #62-3575-6 will be far better and uses a garden hose as discharge- the other one will short out if motor gets wet

Q: What is wrong with this pump? I have pulled it out and lubricated it 10 times now. It runs fine for 2 days, then when I test it the motor just hums, so I pull it out again.

A: Nope, never anything blocking the impeller. The pump is sitting on bricks in the basin. I think the shaft or a bearing gets rusted stuck. A little turn of the impeller and it's going again.

A: Very easy! All that is necessary to do is move the black washers up or down to increase the volume of water you want to discard.

A: Hi Keith, The open end of the rod guide has a small button that will fit into a hole in the column, about 6-8" below the motor. Get it lined up and then rotate the guide so it snaps into place. Thanks
