Save your time and money

Purchased a little over a month ago. Left a 4 star review. This is an update on that one, Buy something else, The lid is only stainless steel coated and already rusting. The bottom is hard to clean unless you take it all apart so get ready for a lot of flare ups and burnt food. Save your time on this one and buy something else. I would return mine if i could but obviously stuck with it since it's used now, I don't normally write reviews, but i thought i should share my opinion on this one

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. The lid (and the end caps) is constructed of 430 stainless steel. To protect the appearance and integrity of stainless steel surfaces, routine cleaning is essential.
Cleaning Stainless Steel Surfaces:
• Ensure that all stainless steel surfaces are wiped down frequently with a basic vinegar and water solution. If there are other cleaners being used ensure that they are specifically for stainless steel OUTDOOR USE. Regardless of instructions all cleaners must be rinsed off and dried with a soft cloth.
• Most cleaners may have corrosive agents and MUST be rinsed off and the surface dried thoroughly.
• Always find a small and inconspicuous spot to test cleansers before cleaning the entire barbecue.
• Ordinary carbon steel brushes or steel wool MUST NOT be used to clean stainless steel. They will scratch the finish and leave particles embedded on the surface that will corrode.

A: Thank you for your question. Your barbecue is designed to operate on L.P gas at a pressure of 2.74 Kpa (11” water column). A regulator pre-set to this pressure is supplied with your barbecue. Compatibility with your home connection may be possible, but you would need to contact a certified gas technician to verify gas pressure. Any alteration to the BBQ, including applying a different regulator will void the warranty. If you are able to make this connection, ensure that you are performing a leak test on all connections before using your BBQ, to avoid risk of injury and/or property damage. Leak test instructions can be found in the Safety & Care Manual on page 8.

Q: Hi the igniter does not seem to work. The 2 wires are properly inserted to the switch. I know that the igniter works, I tested it myself & got a small shock at the tip. Any suggestions??? Thanks

A: Thank you for your inquiry and for confirming that you have already checked to ensure that there is a spark when the igniter button is pressed. To Troubleshoot Ignition Issues: - Try to unplug the electrodes and plug them back in. * Please Note: The electrodes must be pushed in until you hear/feel a "Click". Sometimes it can appear there was a connection, but the "Click" needs to be confirmed. - Once you have confirmed there is a solid connection on both ends of each electrode. - Check the wires for damage, including tears or breaks. (Check the entire length of the wires from end-to-end.) - Check electrode for cracks in the porcelain insulator. - Check the electronic igniter box for any damage or cracks. A: Thank you for your question. The Master Chef Prime 5-Burner Stainless Steel BBQ is CSA certified propane ready and is not convertible to natural gas. Any alterations to the grill will deem it un-certified, with no warranty and not safe for use.
