USELESS AFTER 2 YEARS

Loved these things when I bought them, splurged and bought two whole packs. 2ish years later and I have 3 lids left. Two plastic bits that connect the (clear) lever clip to the top of the (white) lid will break off one day, making the lid entirely useless. So, now I have a whole bunch of the containers left and 3 functioning lids. Would not reccomend due to this pretty major design flaw.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Recycling code is 7. Material just says plastic but it does state it is BPA free.

Q: Does anyone else’s lids slip of easily when picking them up? I just moved my entire pantry into 4 sets of these and went to use my baking powder and it is now everywhere. I’m not sure how air right they will be?! Returning will be a pain!

A: This product has an airtight seal, we apologize for the confusion. There is a lever on the top to help seal and close each container.

Q: Seems like it’s impossible to take the lid apart to wash. Is this the case?

A: The lid is a solid piece and so it cannot be taken apart. Note the containers are for dry storage only.

A: Hi, these items are handwash only. The lid has a spring mechanism that is not suitable for dishwashing. Hand wash only is indicated on the box.

Q: I'm curious of how this product claims to be BPA free when its recycling number is 7? Further research of the number 7 haven't found a single site saying it's safe. Good thing I looked at the recycling number before I was going to wash them. Returning.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Please note we have done extensive testing on this product and are confident there is no BPA present. Recycle code #7 is a category for any resins that were developed after 1988 when the Resin Identification Code (RIC) first appeared. This includes Polycarbonate (PC), polyamide (PA), styrene acrylonitrile (SAN), acrylic plastics/polyacrylonitrile (PAN), bioplastics. These containers are made from a food safe and BPA free polycarbonate material. This material is commonly used in shatter resistant plastic water bottles and higher end food storage in the market.
