Stopped working after 1 year

I bought this at the end of 2024 and it stopped working after a year. Maybe it's a feature, not a bug. They probably designed it so it lasts just a bit more than the warranty. Unreal

Our previous kettle was just too small, so we got this one. It boils enough water for two people to make 14 ounce cups of tea each, with water left over. I love the automatic shut off so it won't boil dry.

A: It is little noise to shows the kettle is heating. Mine makes same noise and I have had it for almost a year. I had to boil water before responding.

Q: We just bought this kettle and have boiled water for tea in it twice and the water is not hot enough to steep teabag. Compared it to our old one and this one is 15 degrees colder when boiled

A: All water boils at the same temperature. 100c or 212 F. It is impossible to have boiling water that is 15 degrees colder. Boiling is boiling.

Q: Just bought the Master Chef 1.2 L kettle. Why do I need to unplug the kettle after each boil? What will happen if it’s not unplugged? I am accustomed to leaving my previous cordless kettles plugged in. Very inconvenient, especially on busy mornings.

A: most appliances like this are guaranteed for 1 year for manufacturer defect...I have had mine now for over a year and it is working great...I boil about 1/2" of vinegar once every 2 weeks and then swirl it around the inside glass for cleaning...rinse with cold water and your good to go. I use filtered water, bottled water seems to leave a sediment on the bottom...so much for bottled water.

A: Could be calcium deposits on the inside of kettle. You can see this buildup if that’s the problem.There are calcium removers but you will need to repeat this process as the calcium will return. and for a big fix you can also install a water softener if you have hard water
