Works great for now. Excellent size pan, so it fits in toaster and can make proper sandwiches. I noticed the manual was much more explanatory than my last machine. There is this wire hook that was never explained until this machine. Very grateful for that!! There is a clicking sound as it kneads the dough, hopefully that won't harm it in the long run.

I have had bread makers for decades. My last two machines - from another manufacturer - both broke prematurely and I stopped making bread for 5+ years. I saw this machine on sale and bought it on a whim, and it’s been great. I’ve made a few breads from the manual and they turned out great. The machine works flawlessly, is quiet, and - most importantly - makes good bread. If only they made a bread maker for a horizontal - rather than vertical - loaf. Hey, it’s making bread as I write this.

Terrible Return Policies

The unit would not operate on the "dough" mode. It worked on the bake mode which was of no use to our family. We tried to get our money refunded but the person at the return desk would not do so as in her opinion the unit had been used. The question is, how does one discover if the unit works if one doesn't use it.
We were allowed to replace the unit with another but my wife didn't want anything to do with it so we settled on getting a stand mixer with a dough hook accessory. We were not pleased and won't be buying anything minutely motorized from Canadian Tire again. Too bad, as we did a great deal of our shopping there. If this was a mess up by the employee involved then it is on Canadian Tire to train their employees better regarding interaction with customers. We were not pleased with her attitude.

Overall is good. Should be priced lower as it's a pretty basic thing. Good to buy when discounted. Lasts about one year if used about twice a week. We're on the second one already.

A: Yeah you should run it once before you bake anything. Like anything with non stick coatings you should heat cycle it atleast once.

A: use your favourite pretzel dough recipe, put all the ingredients in the bucket, set the machine for dough. when ready remove the dough and cut and shape as preferred. bake in oven and enjoy!
