So far so good. For set up, you need additional tools (wrench set ideal) and two adults for sure but it’s a solid basketball net. Easy adjustable feature for younger kids to adults.

Q: Can you not use the base and just cement in the ground because of space issues

A: Yeah you can do it, out the box, you have to assemble it separately, I don't see any issue the way you describing it. Just make sure the cement base is strong enough.

Q: Is this a polycarbonate or Acrylic backboard? The web description says poly, but the actual box says acrylic.

A: This system (90270) comes with the Shatterproof Fusion™ Backboard which integrates a shatterproof polycarbonate playing surface with an unbreakable polyethylene frame for a durable, pro-glass look. Graphics are screen-printed with UV-protected inks for superior color and protection against the elements. I'm concerned you may have been sent the wrong system. Check your model number (should be 90270) and give the seller a call if there is a problem.
