Nice digital timer

Very nice digital timer, I replaced a bathroom exhaust fan with this digital timer, and work great! Note, you do need to have a neutral wire to power the electronic timer. The connections are done using pig tail wires connected to the timer, so you will require twist on wire connectors.

Q: Does this have a on with no timeout? Can you just turn on the device/light on with no timeout?

A: No-it can only be turned on for a timed interval but you can turn it off anytime.

A: This product has an override feature. To override the Timer countdown press and hold the top button for several seconds. The locator LED will turn amber to indicate the EXTENDED ON state. In this state the timer will automatically turn OFF after 24 hours. To exit the EXTENDED ON state press any of the timer buttons or the OFF switch.

Q: Does this product suffer from the same poor design of previous models that resulted in a failed capacitor and a buzzing relay? Typical life was often reported at about 2 years with moderate use. It was most definitely a known design problem.

Q: Question about the three-way I have been reading that this timer can be only used with the Vizia remote switch 52-8284 and not a regular three-way switch. Is this true?

A: Yes, for 3 way application a vizia switch (VP0SR; ctc # 052-8284-2). The timer is electronic and requires an electronic switch on the other side.

Q: Is there a 3-way version of this? Most new homes require bathroom exhaust fans to have two three-way switches, one in the bathroom, and one in a central location. Is there a timer that can be connected to a 3-way double-pole switch?
