Single light bulb fixture with metal pull cord - a very good, attractive product.

Leviton White Light Bulb Socket with a Pull Cord Made of Heavy Duty Plastic is a well constructed, durable light socket, which I used to replace a light socket that I fractured while trying to drill a hole in it - Big Mistake. With the new light socket I used the hot tip of a soldering iron to melt a 3/8" hole in the new socket which create a perfect hole which would accept a 3/8" triple wire electric cord to connect up with the electrical connections in the light socket. I had to get some clamp fixtures for the wires coming into the light socket to connect to the fastener in the light socket for the wires that connected the socket to the house circuit. It was tricky work in a tight space but I was able to do it and also ground the new ground wire to the metal box in the wall insuring the circuit was protected from an electrical short. I am very satisfied with the final result that allowed me to connect with a six inch electrical fan which I installed in my attic.
