A: You sure can! That's what I do. It will need to map both floors to begin with, but once you've done that, you just put it where you want and then use the app to tell it what to do.

A: Standard answer that is word for word from the website. Another interesting fact from the website is iRobot promises to protect maps of someones home ....so the map the robot makes of your house is sent back to iRobot ...why? What else is it sending back?? They also download software updates, that's good ...but since they can download updates they can also download anything, including disabling your machine if they decide it's out of support and you need to buy a new one. Received this for Christmas gift. Problems: never goes back on charger properly=always dead when you want to turn it on. Constantly looses connection to app. Adding water for mopping function: if you have laminate or hardwood : beware. When mopping is done, it goes back to the base and continues to dispense water. The dispensed water gets sucked into the dry vacuum bag causing it to smell very bad, or it leaks onto your floor causing damage to flooring . The extra top only holds dry vacuum bag, nothing to do with mopping water or cleaner. It also uses an outside to inside approach of cleaning. Which means I can never get it go with the grain of wood, as it does circles, always leaving streaks. My first and last roomba
