Where is the retainer clip that holds the parts in place?

I'm sure this item will be fine if I can eventually find the Reatinging Clip that holds the parts inside the garage tightly onto the back of unit. It should be included in the package. The current clip will be destroyed to get it off the old T-Handle. They are not re-useable.

Q: The garage door handle does not come with any sort of retainer clip or other hardware for the 5/16" square shaft. What is used? Replacement T-Handle Garage Door Lock Product #46-0122-2

A: The T-handle is fastened to the outside of the door. There can be a variety of inside locking mechanisms used with the T-handle, but all will fasten to the inside of the door, so no clips are needed. This is based on the applications that we are aware of. In addition, this is a replacement item, so the inside components are very often reused.
