Q: If I use my power inverter 300W do you think it works?

A: If you have a Jack**y300, it will work, . When you start it on high, it initially will go up to ab it over 300 for a couple of seconds, but then it goes down to around 209-215. I use this at the moment on house power to accomodate my little dog evenings, as long as the sun and outside temperature warms the inside of the home up during the day, so no need for me turning the heat on evenings. Bought this amazing little area-heater originally for camping to use it with the Jack..y300 powerbank, but have it now the 2nd year also occasionally turned on at home. Just plugged it into "Jacky300", just to see the wattage. Getting another one now, for the office/sewing room.

A: Absolutely! We have three of these in our 5th Wheel and leave them on all night any time it is going to be cold and humid outside to keep the windows and walls from accumulating moisture. We have two of these in the bedroom and one in the living room running on low. Never had a problem in 3 years.

Q: This honeywell heatbud has a strong burning plastic odor. Is it damaged?

A: We run ours for hours at a time and have never had a burning plastic odour. Have had this model at my place of work for years and then got a 2nd one for my home. I wonder if something is wrong with the individual unit.

Q: I'm looking for a heater to use in a grow tent. Is there any reason this heater shouldn't be used in an environment with 60% humidity, or 45%? Is it dangerous to use this in a sealed tent?

A: I am not sure if it has a humidity rating, but as long as you remove it after 45 mins and check the moisture build up every couple of hours at first to see the beading process that would be the only way to confirm it. If you get any sort of beading I would switch it out, rotate every 4 hours or depending on the level you are consistently using. Hopefully that helps, it’s a great little heater that utilizes minimal heat.

A: You asked for the amps and the manufacturer tech support team gave you the watt rating on this heater! The tag on the underside of the unit gives two ratings, presumably based on the ambient temperature. And, I presume, the stated ratings are at the highest setting. I will quote the tag verbatim: 120 V.A.C. 60Hz 2.0A 235W (25C), 2.1A 250W (0C) Certified to CSA STD C22.2 No46
