Died immediately after warranty expired.

Purchased two years plus one week ago and the compressor just died. Company won't honour the warranty. This isn't a purchase, it's a $700 2 year rental.

This unit was an amazing price and the smart phone added features make it very easy to preprogram and use more eco friendly- a great product, my only complaint was the weight, it was heavy and awkward to get up to the 3rd floor bedroom but once there it was easy to impact and set up the window attachment!!

Machine works as advertised, but components are not working correctly on it

Machine seems to work great, but the front temperature display was not working out of the box, working with manufacture to get it replaced or repaired. May just return to the store. Manufacture has been easy to work with, but having trouble through the return process. As the website will not let me return it because the problem I’m having is not a selectable repair item on their website. I manufacturers website not through Canadian tire.

Quiet when running but a little loud when do...

Very quiet when running but I hope it doesn't turn off 100%.
At least keep it running and blowing air while the compressor does its cycle.
And the vibration is a little loud once the compressor restarts

Q: Can this unit be installed on normal windows that are not horizontal and vertical sliding?

A: It can but it's going to require ingenuity to make sure the window attachment is well sealed from the outside air to ensure efficient operation of the unit. You might want to contact Hisense directly and they would put you in touch with a technician that would be able to resolve this for you. Hope this helps.

A: The window materials for the exhaust pipe and intake are not tall eonugh for a sliding door. I do not know where you would get this from as I am not a store employee. You could however block the top portion of the door with something else.

Q: Hey I just purchased this and the only thing I can't figure out is why the black circle for the remotes sensor doesn't light up with the temperature as shown as 72° in the picture

A: I think this is just a marketing ploy of some sort. The only display I have is the green LED temp. setpt./ambient temp. on top. FYI... ALL port. AC's are inefficient due to the temp. of the discharge hose/duct (compared to window units), which create an extra load on the unit although Hisense is marginally better with the design and A LOT more quiet. I measured mine with my digital I/R thermometer and saw 108-112 deg. F and knew it had to be clad with insulation. Instead of a crude job with fiberglass and duct foil, Amazon has a few items for about $30/. I covered my discharge hose with the 5' velcro foil/quilt one and it is now about 74 deg. F. Voila! Instant improvement!

Q: Does this unit create a negative pressure in the room like single hose units do? Our current unit takes air from inside the room but doesn't replace it all, creating a negative pressure that results in outside air being drawn into the home through gaps.

A: Surprisingly, this device does not generate a vacuum because it features two ports on the unit instead of just one, unlike a single-port device. I placed it in our living room and it is performing excellently. A great advantage is that after installing the Connect Life app, you have the ability to turn it on remotely, allowing you to cool down the room even before arriving home.

A: We’ve used it in a large upstairs bedroom about 400 sq ft. We’ve owned about 3 of these portable air conditioners and it’s been the best of them all. It’s very quiet, starts up and stops gradually without a loud noise and the dual hoses is the best system. I’ve had both types. I would definitely buy this unit again over the others.

Q: What is the maximum length of the window kit panel? Canadian Tire seems to list the same 47.24" max length for every A/C model they carry, so I don't think this figure is correct. My window is 57" high. Is the panel long enough for this window height?
