A: Not familiar with induction stoves, but believe this should work well with any source of applied heat. I love this pot, with only 2 of us to cook for (3 counting the dog 😉😅) over the course of 5ish hours I can cook a roast beef that will come apart with just a fork.

Q: How thick is the base of the pot? Does it have a base that will prevent burning of things in the bottom of the pot?

A: Yes it won't burn the food but it will be still on cooking mode even if it's not on the flame. It is good for cooking gravy's but not stir fry food.

A: Good day, As per your question the Rock coating inside contains no PFOA, PFAS, lead cadmium or nickel but does contain PTFE. Further PTFE used in the fabrication of the non-stick coating is chemically inert. The PTFE is a tender deformable material and is semi crystalline, opaque, white and alimentary. Pure PTFE is FDA (Food and Drug Administration) conforming.
