Smart recording of motion ONLY

This is a Great camera, however, keep in mind this is advertised for not 24/7 recording. You can record live. It does capture clips of motion though

Subscription based video recording.

Camera is easy to use and all but even with the sd card the motion detection only takes a photo. You have to buy either a monthly or annual subscription to have it record the videos….what a gimmick, go buy a better system like lorex, multiple cameras on the feed no hidden extra costs and records good quality videos with motion or noise alerts. Glad I got this on sale but still not happy.

No, I do not recommend this product.

WAS ok....but

Bought one of these in June '24 and another in July. OK at first but the 3 months on a single charge was exaggerated. Only about a month to start. But now it's Oct, and I've fully charged it on the 17th.....by the 20th, it was down to 49%! And we were gone all weekend, so it never even came on to use any amount of power. I hate to see how the battery holds up when cold weather hits.

No, I do not recommend this product.

  • A: We don't know about IP rating. We've had our Genie for almost 2 years and it's never failed to transmit alerts/videos of any movements in range and during any weather. We live in the Ottawa Valley.

Q: This camera does not record footages on SD card. I use sandisk extreme V30 card which is recommended by geeni. it can detect the SD card and can format it successfully, but no recording mode option to choose in storage setting. Is there recording switch?

Q: In continuous recording mode, does the oldest video will be overridden with the new video after memory card is full?

    A: Thank you for your inquiry. To answer your question, yes. Installing a Micro SD card will further enable video recording and playback from your phone until the card is full. As the card fills up, the oldest footage will automatically be replaced by new video, so you don’t have to ever worry about running out of storage space. Q: Is there continuous loop recording mode besides motion detective mode recording?

    A: Hi Rocky, thank you for your inquiry in one of our products. All our cameras do have a continuous recording where in once you installed an Micro SD Card. The camera will continuously record and playback video to your phone until the card is full (up to 128GB as of the moment). Video is encrypted and only view-able through the Geeni app on your phone, so do not try removing the Micro SD card to view video.
