Crystal ball

One of my favorite Halloween decor pieces. It can be a bit loud but nothing a stick of tape underneath can’t fix to mute it a little. The colors are pretty. It is very durable too. Kids are curious and have knocked it over a few times and still works great after all this time.

Q: Can you tell me how to remove the Try Me wires? It says to remove the Try Me wires before using but it looks like I have to use a tiny screwdriver to take the whole bottom off to remove the wires. Is there an easier way to do this?

A: Todd, thanks for the response. Unfortunately that is not the case with this unit. The Try Me wire disappears into the base of the unit. It looks like you are supposed to just yank it out. There is no usual plug to unplug like a phone cord.

Q: Can this be switched on to light up for an extended period (while not being touched)? I want to use it in an outdoor display on Hallowe'en, but people wouldn't be interacting with it.

A: No, it only lasts for roughly 30 seconds. The one I purchased only worked by keeping the test sensor attached. Would not work any other way. Was not what I had hoped for, I assumed it was motion activated.
