A: The table top surface does have a very slight texture to it. This table does lie flat when it is folded in half. When it is unfolded the table legs would be stored under.

A: This will vary depending on the width of the chairs used, where the table is set up (against a wall, middle of the room, etc) and if you plan on putting chairs at the ends of the table.
