On package it shows the product being used to grind a strike plate, I needed it to do just that, same one as in the picture. It failed quickly in about 30 secs. This product maybe good to grind soft metals but not steel as pictures on the package!!

I used one of these to grind a steel wheel lock nut from round into a hex shape to facilitate extraction. Removed 2-3mm of material on all 6 sides of the lock nut, down a length of about 1cm. worked very well, fit in the narrow work area, remained abrasive for the duration of the work, did not break.
