Q: Why the impact driver (DCF887, bought a couple of days ago) with max1825 in-lbs cannot break a nut with 1000 in-lbs? Is it a defective product?
3 years agoA: Be sure the Impact is in Mode 3. This mode will generate the maximum torque needed. If it is in Mode 1 or 2, it will not be able to break the nut free. Please refer to page 11 of your manual.

Q: Will this remove wheel nuts that have been torqued to 100 ft/lbs?
3 years agoA: the functionality being asked is not the intended use of the tool. Having said that, the tool can remove wheel nuts though it may cause strain or damage to the tool. For safety reasons, we would not recommend this tool to be used as such)

Q: Why would you offer xr products with regular batteries if I buy xr drill and driver I would hope the batteries would be xr as well disappointing to be short changed when you get home and open the box
4 years agoA: Those are technically XR batteries, any DeWalt batteries that have yellow are XR, that same phisical size battery in non-XR are all black and are 1.3Ah and cheaper cells as well I find.

Q: Can the impact driver in this set be used for removing lug nuts on a car
3 years agoA: Hello jeff Thank you for your contact. We apologize for any trouble or inconvenience in finding information. Generally, lug nuts on cars will not be torqued higher than 125 ft-lbs. This impact can has a maximum torque of 152.08 ft lbs.so it should be able to handle nearly all automotive needs for lug nuts. Best Regards Sherri C DEWALT
