Well, the first unit lasts 15 minutes. started making grinding noises, then smoking ,then stopped working. Return to CTC in exchange for another one. This lasted 10 minutes, and the plastic disc broke. Took it back to CTC. The lady looking after my return sats" well we sold a lot of these,you must be rough on your tool's" I said are you an engineer. piece of junk. Save your money. this is an $18.00 hobby buffer.

Do not buy!

Used it twice, and it broke! The plastic disc where you stick the foam pad is made from the cheapest material possible. The disc wore out at the centre point where it is held by one bolt, leaving a large hole. I returned it and bought a Simoniz tool instead.

A: Yes. It depends on the buffer pads you use, not the machine.

Q: Any problems with the buffer under load? Weak? Is the bonnet replaceable?

A: This buffer is rated at 4300 RPM under no load and it is not recommended to apply a lot of pressure (or load) when using this item. The foam pad is replaceable with a 6" polishing pad.
