"sand" finish not durable

We really liked this mat at first because it looks great and helped keep mud and dirt from being tracked into the house. After only a few weeks, we noticed that the "sand" finish had started to come up. After only a few weeks more, the "sand" finish had completely disappeared in the high traffic centre.
