freaking delicious

i love this gun. i kept the scope the way it is and just adjusted the way i aim. it really messes with my friends when they shoot it. i got used to the trigger really quick and it is very consistent. the scope is really bad but i learned to deal with it. it is really easy to cock and is great for backyard shooting. it does have the smallest, tiniest amount of kick so don't put your eye right on the scope. overall this gun is great.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Does the job

Bought this .177 cal for pest control of Rats. Bagged 8 so far. All with a single head shot from 15 to 35 feet. Trigger pull is hard at first, takes getting used to but eases over use and works pretty good then. Had trouble zeroing the scope, mostly because I didn't know what I was doing. Was very frustrated till I saw a YT video that told if you're adjusting a springer scope, give it a couple firm taps with something like a screwdriver handle AFTER the adjustment. Sometimes the internals of the scope don't actually adjust until they get a jolt, like the gun firing, or a firm tap. That was happening to me and driving me nuts till I saw the vid. By the way, love the scope, works great and is clear and bright in daytime conditions at all mags. Don't believe the theory that a light hold or what's called the artillery hold will work with this airgun. The trigger pull is too hard to make that work. The best way I have found to shoot this is to grip it firmly and press against the shoulder like you would an actual rifle. If you rest the forward part of the barrel against something to steady the gun as you aim, you'll be even more accurate. I have no trouble plinking the bottom end of small soup can at 30 yards. Rated for 495 fps, seems legit. After over 1000 rounds fired from this gun, I think it might have picked up speed! Love the gun. It's a beaut, seems well constructed, and is a good size. Not overly long, like using a carbine. You're not gonna shoot 1/2" groupings at 100 yards with this gun, but plinking away from 100 feet in, once you're used to it, you'll have fun with it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Can the trophy scope (Product#75-5507-8) that CT sells be used on this rifle

3 Answers
  • A: No, for a number of reasons. Putting any "Firearm" scope on your air rifle will be broken within a handful of shots (even more expensive brands!) due to the unique vibrations and double recoil of spring piston airguns. Air Gun scope lenses are sealed and supported in both recoil directions. "Firearm" Scopes only in the one direction. so the forward recoil caused by the air gun piston spring could dislodge the lens. Also, Many firearm scopes are parallax corrected for distances of 50 yards or further, well beyond normal airgun ranges. This may give you trouble Sighting one in for accurate shooting. Airgun scopes are parallax corrected to work in the 10 to 50 yard range. The scope included with this air gun is the Beeman/Bushnell 3-9 x 32mm Rifle Scope, Beeman catalog number 5055 Magnification of 3 to 9 times with the a high-torque power change ring. (So it won't slip) from the magnification setting. The parallax is adjustable from 10 yards to infinity. It has 1/4" windage and elevation adjustments for fine shot placement. Also, fully coated lenses to give increased contrast and brightness. Why change it.. ?? --- It's nice. ($100 of Scope and mounts by it self.)

Q: How to I get the seized barrel to crack? I can't get the barrel to crack. I've only fired it about 400 times and have no problems before. Now all of a sudden it won't budge. Any ideas what is wrong or how to fix it?

  • A: I had a gun that did this once also. Not this model, but an older one I had for a few years. Break Barrel are all kind of the same. Hope it will work for you as it did for me.. Try this.. Be sure the Safety is on. Try "popping" the barrel with the palm of your hand to get a little more force to open it. If you get it open. You will notice what looks like a small "Ball Bearing" or "Pin" that locks the Barrel when closed. You may have some grit in there that's not letting it move freely. Try a "little Drop" of Pellgun Oil on it. Cambodian Tire: Product #75-5440-4 Break and close the Barrel a few times to see if it gets smoother. If you have Cocked it fully. Do not dry fire the gun. You can load a pellet and fire it in a safe direction.. Or if No Pellet press the muzzle (Hard) against an old phone book to give resistance to the escaping air and discharge the cylinder.
