I'll Stick With this Stuff

I have a treasured travel clock radio on which the LCD display was failing because of a cover that was separating from the display area. I put some of this super glue around the outside of the cover and held it in place for a few moments, hoping the glue would flow under the cover and hold it in place. The display is now as good as new!!!

A: SUPER GLUE OR “CYANOACRYLATE” DOES NOT WORK ON ALL TYPES OF GLASS OR PLASTIC. GENERALLY SPEAKING THE MORE COATING OR SHINE ON A SUBSTRATE THE HARDER IT IS FOR THE SUPER GLUE TO “BITE” OR ADHERE. OTHER FACTORS THAT IMPACT BONDING OF GLASS ARE 1. THE SIZE OF THE TWO PIECES BEING BONDED 2. TEMPERATURE , HUMIDITY 3. WILL THE BONED PARTS BE HANDLED A LOT , OR JUST LEFT ALONE AFTER THE BOND IF POSSIBLE ITS BEST TO TEST BOND ON SAME SUBSTRATES AND CLAMP.
