Nice solution to a small window problem

I didnt use it as an expandable screen. I had 2 windows that were exactly 20" wide and I needed a little bit of airflow in the area but they had no screens. I was able to easily detach this sliding screen into its 2 pieces and use 1 for each window. The plastic clips that hold it were not damaged and had it not worked I would have been able to reattach them and return it, but it worked beautifully.

Immiserating, low-key dystopian screen

I'm not a verified buyer, but I am a human being who went to check out these screens at the Vancouver Cambie store and and found them to lack the practical utility of the thing they are supposed to be. Even in their shrink-wrap, and not extended, the screens I handled (including the smaller model) could not support their own weight at a 90 degree angle either laterally or forward/backward. As if to make a point, someone had taken the plastic off one and left it draped over the others. As a millenial Vancouverite I know by now that the material functionality of things is not necessarily the point of their production. Still, I wrote this because the idea of an untold number of people each buying this product in earnest, not getting to enjoy their screen, the thousands-fold duplication of labor of them all having to figure out how to return it, but maybe cutting their losses because it's exhausting makes me feel even more terrible than picturing skid after skid of this product going straight into the landfill. All this said, other reviews here *do* indicate these are functional; my only theory is maybe that the ones I handled were exposed to prolonged high heat in storage or transit?

The metal frame was a bit twisted and was difficult to keep straight when placed in the window. The overall fit was not great. I returned it.

Q: I have a window that is 45" high, by 35" wide. Will either of the two sizes fit that? This is an apartment window which apparently didn't have a screen included. I'm not a handyman, so I have no idea if this would work.

A: If your window is a double hung ( slides up) then it will fit their width and you just open the window and place the screen in the bottom section with either a 10" height or 15" height.

Q: I need 2 sliding screens, 19" by 19 1/2" and 1 large stationary screen. How do these screens work? Do they include the frame & the screen?
