How do I know which fluorescent light fixture to buy?
When choosing the right fluorescent light fixture, consider the size, the type of fluorescent tube light it uses, installation type, shape, and the space you’ll be illuminating.
What are the signs of a bad ballast?
Some warning signs that the ballast is failing include a buzzing or humming sound coming from the bulb or the fixture, dimming or flickering, variance in colour, or the light does not turn on at all.
Can you replace a fluorescent light fixture with an LED light fixture?
Yes, you can. However, if you don’t want to do a complete replacement, you can also convert your existing fluorescent light fixture to accept LED tube lights as long as the bulb is compatible with the fixture’s fluorescent ballast.
Are fluorescent lights being phased out?
Many old-style fluorescent lights, such as the T12 tube light bulbs, have been phased out, and bulbs for T8 fittings are also becoming increasingly difficult to source.
