How to start a fire

Great stories, and unforgettable memories all take place around the campfire. Whether you’re starting a teepee or log cabin fire, creating a spark is key. Here's how it's done.

5 STEPS

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

STEP 1

Gather some tinder and kindling from around your campsite to make a nest out of bark or grass.

The finer and dryer the materials, the better.

STEP 2

Using a knife, shred Light My Fire Tinder sticks into shreds.

STEP 3

Using the flint striker, strike toward tinder pieces to create a spark.

Your tinder will soon catch fire.

STEP 4

Gently blow on the nest.

STEP 5

Slowly add more tinder and kindling.
