What are some of the most popular NHL teams?

There are 32 NHL teams, 7 of which are from Canada and 24 from the United States. Between 1942 and 1967, the league was made up of the Original Six, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Black Hawks, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings. They served 25 seasons until they began expanding in the 60s and beyond. Although all teams have a substantial following, the Original Six have a rich history and have had more time to build a loyal fanbase.
